Download National geographic - Strange Things In the Amazon Forest - BBC wildlife animal documentary for Free Now! National geographic - Strange Things In the Amazon Forest - BBC wildlife animal documentary The Amazon rainforest (Portuguese: Floresta Amazônica or Amazônia; Spanish: Selva Amazónica, Amazonía or usually Amazonia; French: Forêt amazonienne; Dutch: Amazoneregenwoud), also known in English as Amazonia or the Amazon Jungle, is a moist broadleaf forest that covers most of the Amazon basin of South America. This basin encompasses 7,000,000 square kilometres (2,700,000 sq mi), of which 5,500,000 square kilometres (2,100,000 sq mi) are covered by the rainforest. This region includes territory belonging to nine nations. The majority of the forest is contained within Brazil, with 60% of the rainforest, followed by Peru with 13%, Colombia with 10%, and with minor amounts in Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana. States or departments in four nations contain "Amazonas" in their names. The Amazon represents over half of the planet's remaining rainforests, and comprises the largest and most biodiverse tract of tropical rainforest in the world, with an estimated 390 billion individual trees divided into 16,000 species.

Strange Animals of Asia [National Geographic Documentary 2017 HD]

Download Strange Animals of Asia [National Geographic Documentary 2017 HD] for Free Now! Strange Animals of Asia [National Geographic Documentary 2017 HD] Asia is the largest continent in the world. The Cloud Forests are very strange forests in Asia. They have fog, or clouds, all over them, creating, not only, beautiful landscapes, but also many lost tourists since the eyesight is so bad! The Clouded Leopard, and the Yin Yang Frog both live in a Cloud Forest. While many other animals are from other kinds of forests that are slightly less cloudy. All the animals living in Asia and its surrounding seas and islands are considered the fauna of Asia. Since there is no natural biogeographic boundary in the west between Europe and Asia, the term "fauna of Asia" is somewhat elusive. Asia is the eastern part of the Palearctic ecozone (which in turn is part of the Holarctic), and its south-eastern part belongs to the Indomalaya ecozone (previously called the Oriental region). Asia shows a notable diversity of habitats, with significant variations in rainfall, altitude, topography, temperature and geological history, which is reflected in its richness of animal life. ► NOTE : I'm a big fan of National Geographic and I just collect the best parts of National Geographic. I do not make money from National Geographic's Video.

Tiny Fish Use Bacteria to Glow in the Dark | National Geographic

Download Tiny Fish Use Bacteria to Glow in the Dark | National Geographic for Free Now! While scuba diving at night along a coral reef in the Solomon Islands, marine biologist and National Geographic Explorer David Gruber witnessed what he describes as "the closest [he's] had to an Avatar moment." Thousands of flashlight fish swam before him, forming shapes, and illuminating the dark ocean waters. ➡ Subscribe: http://bit.ly/NatGeoSubscribe #NationalGeographic #Fish #Bioluminescence About National Geographic: National Geographic is the world's premium destination for science, exploration, and adventure. Casting a vibrant blue glow as they swim, flashlight fish owe their bioluminescence to the bacteria that grow in an organ underneath their eyes. It's a symbiotic relationship that allows the bacteria to obtain extra oxygen needed to survive, and the fish benefit from the glowing light emitted from the organ, which they can "blink" on and off using special skin folds. In a recent study published in PLOS ONE, it was observed that flashlight fish use the glowing light to coordinate their schooling and avoid predators. National Geographic - America Before Columbus

Download National Geographic - America Before Columbus for Free Now! History books traditionally depict the pre-Columbus Americas as a pristine wilderness where small native villages lived in harmony with nature. But scientific evidence tells a very different story: When Columbus stepped ashore in 1492, millions of people were already living there. America wasn't exactly a "New World," but a very old one whose inhabitants had built a vast infrastructure of cities, orchards, canals and causeways.

The great white shark is notable for its size, with larger female individuals growing to 6.1 m (20 ft) in length and 1,950 kg (4,300 lb) in weight at maturity. However most are smaller, males measuring 3.4 to 4.0 m (11 to 13 ft) and females 4.6 to 4.9 m (15 to 16 ft) on average.
